Victoria's Secret models invade A-Rod's Miami mansion

Three bikini-clad Victoria's Secret models were spotted hanging around Alex Rodriguez's Miami mansion.  Too bad the New York Yankees third baseman wasn't at home.

A-Rod was out of town while Victoria's Secret used the slugger's $24 million spread for a pre-arranged photo shoot on Thursday, according to the New York Daily News.

While the scantily-clad women strutted around A-Rod's home in high-heels, the Yankees slugger was seen with his girlfriend Torrie Wilson in New York City.

Michael Bay— the famed film director behind the "Transformers" series and other over-the-top blockbusters—  was the photographer shooting the sexy lineup.

The sexy "Angels" looked quite comfortable lounging around A-Rod's patio in between takes.

The beachfront home was just finished last year and has a private dock, pool and spectacular views of the Atlantic Ocean.

It looks like like the views around A-Rod's pool on Thursday were pretty good good too.

While the names of the models— Candice Swanepool, Behati Prinsloo, and Doutzen Kroes— may not evoke the images of Ruth, DiMaggio and Mantle— they'll do.

A-Rod Cleans Up On NYC Bachelor Pad

Alex Rodriguez hit another one out of the park after he sold his New York City condo for a $2.5 million profit— only eight months after he bought it.

Too bad it was Riverside Park.

While the New York Yankees slugger was last seen striking out at the plate last season, he has been scoring big time with real estate in Manhattan.

A-Rod paid $5.5 million for the 3,600 square-foot, four bedroom West Side bachelor pad and it went into contract last week for $ 8 million.

There is now speculation that the free-swinging Rodriguez— who has hooked up with the likes of Madonna, Kate Hudson and Cameron Diaz— may be looking to settle down with his latest flame former-pro wrestler Torrie Wilson.

Some Yankee fans probably wish it meant he was going to another city and team— but alas, no such news.

The state-of-the-art pad includes a black leather pool table in the living room with sweeping views of Manhattan and the outlying areas including Yankee Stadium.

A-Rod's bachelor playground is located in the Rushmore on Riverside and 64th Street which boasts such amenities as a 7,000 square-foot Palestra fitness center with an indoor pool and basketball court.

He was often spotted working out there with other Yankees players and his ex, Diaz.

While A-Rod scored a home run with this sale, it sounds like he is on some sort of real estate hitting streak.

According to the New York Daily News, since A-Rod moved in, the Rushmore has become the city's hottest luxury building and Rodriguez's former residence at 15 Central Park West has become the most successful condominium building in the world.

Now if he could bring a few of those big hits to the Bronx.

Cervelli Takes Two For The Team But Yankees Lose To Orioles in 10th

Two collisions at home plate involving New York Yankees catcher Francisco Cervelli were the only highlights of the team's 10th inning loss to the Baltimore Orioles on Thursday.

The spirited Cervelli almost single-handedly won the game by blocking the plate to save game-tying runs in consecutive innings before Scott Proctor surrendered a walk and two singles, the last which gave the Orioles a 5-4 win in Camden Yards.

Cervelli's heroics were in vain and probably left the catcher in a lot of pain.

The Yankees were clinging to a 4-3 lead in the seventh inning when centerfielder Curtis Granderson fielded Vladimir Guerrero's hit and threw a strike to second baseman Robinson Cano, who fired a perfect throw to Cervelli at the plate.  Cervelli didn't budge as he was bulldozed by Nick Markakis, ala Rose-Fosse.  The catcher went flying, but held on to the ball to preserve the lead.

In the following inning, Granderson caught the ball and cut down Mark Reynolds at the plate, in an almost identical play, with another great tag by Cervelli.  Robert Andino followed with an RBI single to tie the game at 4.

Andino would deliver the decisive hit in the 10th, singling home Nolan Reimold from second base with one out.

Yankees starter Ivan Nova (15-4) kept his consecutive win streak of eight straight starts intact but got a no-decision.  He didn't have his best stuff but was able to get out of trouble in the fourth and fifth innings and left the game in the sixth, after allowing five hits and three runs.  He threw 97 pitches.

The Yankees appeared to have the momentum with Cervelli's two clutch plays but couldn't hang on.

It's a sure bet the Yankees are glad they won't see the Orioles anymore this season.  The last two series were marred by weather, scheduling and home-run controversies including an 11 p.m. (?) start time after a four-hour rain delay on Tuesday night and playing in a monsoon on Wednesday.  They might want to change their name to the Baltimore Ducks.

Now they lose two in a row to the pesky club.

Separated at Birth: A.J. Burnett and Elroy Jetson

It's hard to know if New York Yankees A.J. Burnett was going for the Elroy Jetson look on purpose but, it's safe to say the original spaceboy 'do didn't improve his game.

Burnett's newly bleached locks and 'his boy Elroy' cut did little to disguise the fact that it's the same old A.J. and his "I have to find a way to have fun" on the mound attitude has changed nothing either.

After throwing five strong shut-out innings last night against the Los Angeles Angels, Burnett turned into Rosie the Robot.  He gave up four runs on two hits during the ugly sixth inning-- including two walks, a wild pitch a two-run double to a .181 hitter.

Burnett hasn't won a game since June 29 and the crowd at Yankee Stadium gave him a loud reminder of that fact as he walked to the dugout.  The Yankees lost, 6-4.

Here's some fun facts.  It was  Burnett's league-leading 15th wild pitch, he has a winless streak of seven games and, not surprisingly,  the righthander has not won an August start during three seasons in pinstripes.

It beginning to look like Joe Girardi has a better chance of seeing flying cars and the Little Dipper school on a pole before a Burnett win, but he refuses to bench his $16.5 million hurler.

To a frustrated Yankees fan, it feels like George Jetson walking Astro on that out-of-control treadmill (remember when treadmills were considered futuristic?)
